Now that the kids are back at school, it means they will need more time to study and complete homework. They need a quiet, distraction-free area for their studies.
Let your child be involved in the creation of their study space. They can pick out their own folders and desk accessories to personalize their space. Let them make their space enjoyable for them to study in. Allow them to lead the way when it comes to organizing the space.
Be sure to get them a nice reading light so that they can read easily. Make certain that the lighting isn’t set at angle that creates glare on screens.
Hang a cork board on the wall so they can post deadlines and assignment due dates.
Keep desktop clutter to a minimum so they can focus on their work. Make sure they have a comfortable chair for their height.
Short on space? There are many portable items such as lap desks and rolling caddies that can turn any space into a work area. And only resort to the dining room table if there are minimal distractions. Also make use of vertical storage for papers and supplies.
With just a little planning, you can turn any small space into a great study space for your children!
